This paper explains about data logging on LTE handover simulation for QoS provisioning. Handover event is where user equipment change its source node because the signal strength of another node higher than current node. Monitoring the service quality during user's handover is important for telecommunication operators to ensure user's satisfaction. However, this QoS-related technique may increase processing load. This paper evaluates three alternatives of data logging during the handover, which are Quick, Extensive, and Full test. The result of the implemented design can be used to analyze QoS during the handover. The proposed design of data logging for QoS provisioning tested in a handover scenario where the user equipment moving from a source to another source which results a handover. From this research, the default handover configuration is proven to be good and all of three alternatives of the data logging method can give an accurate result without burdening speed or performance during handover event simulation on NS3. Even so, each of the data logging method results in different quantity of unit data which results in different requirement of storage for long term logging, so user should choose one of the alternative which suits their need of the data to analyze QoS of the handover to optimize between usability and storage efficiency. |
