Bambang Suharno obtained his Dr.-Ing. degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany in 1996. He got his Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from Universitas Indonesia in 1987. Since 2008 until now he is a full-professor at Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia. He has taught courses on metal manufacturing, iron and steel making process, alloy steel and super alloy, refractory materials, materials engineering, design and materials selection for undergraduate and graduate students. His current research includes development of manufacturing process for orthodontic biomaterials application with investment casting and metal mold injection process, processing of nickel, manganese and chrome ore to produce ferronickel, manganese ferroalloy and ferrochrome in submerged arc furnace, development of thin wall ductile iron |
