Profile :
Dodi Sudiana was born in Kuningan, West Java, on 8 January 1966. He is a lecturer at the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (DoEE UI). He graduated as an Engineer Bachelor (Ir.) from DoEE UI and got a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, Japan. His thesis entitled: "Classification of Planar Curve by the Zero Crossing Representation of wavelet transform" was published in the Proceedings of the IEICE General Conference. He holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing after defended his thesis entitled: "Early Warning of Forest Fire and Evaluation of Asian Dust using Remote Sensing Technique." from the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Chiba University, Japan. His current main teaching and research area includes Remote Sensing, Signal and Image Processing, Multimedia, and Computer Networking. Dr. Dodi is a member of the Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, IEEE Signal Processing Society and IEEE Microwave and Techniques Society, The Japan Society of Remote Sensing (JSRS) and Masyarakat Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia (MAPIN). From June 2008-December 2013, he was appointed as the Secretary of Dept. of Electrical Engineering and also actively involved in research and community services. From 2014-2015 he was elected as a member of University Senate representing the Faculty members of Faculty of Engineering. From January 2015 up to now he is appointed as Director for Collaborative Affairs, Universitas Indonesia.
